The Children’s Center of Lexington (CCL) is seeking a dedicated Teacher to join our team for the afternoon shift from 10:00AM to 6:00PM. As a fully equipped childcare center catering to children from 15 months to pre-kindergarten, we operate with a child-centered approach. Our team maintains a nurturing and inspiring environment across 6 classrooms, focusing on the holistic development of children's social-emotional, physical, and intellectual skills through hands-on play. The ideal candidate will hold an EEC Teacher Certification and demonstrate a thorough understanding of child development principles. Preferred qualifications include an Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field, with previous experience in a licensed center and proficiency in Microsoft 365 tools and Brightwheel being advantageous.
Hold an EEC Teacher Certification
Pass a BRC background check and be fingerprinted in accordance with EEC requirements
Possess an Associate or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field
Provide evidence of satisfactory completion of at least four courses in early childhood education
Demonstrate previous experience working with young children in a licensed center
Show proficiency in using Microsoft 365, Microsoft Teams, Outlook, and Brightwheel
Have a demonstrated understanding of child development and its application in an early childhood program
Be physically capable of meeting the demands of the role, such as lifting 35+ pounds and engaging in various activities with children throughout the day
The Children’s Center of Lexington, Inc. opened in 1971. It is a non-profit corporation with tax-exempt status. The Center is licensed by the Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care to serve up to 70 children daily, ranging from fifteen-month-old toddlers to 5-year-olds in a pre-kindergarten program.
