Barrington Jerome is the newest location for Barrington Schools. It is currently under construction in the newly developed Jerome Village neighborhood. When finished, scheduled for Fall of 2025, it will be a brand-new, state-of-the-art daycare that will include (10) multiple age-specific classrooms, dedicated director office space, an indoor gross motor area, two secure outdoor play yards, conference room, a staff break room, on-site kitchen and more. We are looking for someone to join our team now to become a part of our exciting journey as we grow and shape this new location.
Once opened, this individual will oversee the daily operations of the daycare center, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and educational environment for children (up to 200 children). This role involves helping to open our new space, hiring, managing staff, developing curriculum, maintaining compliance with state regulations, and fostering strong relationships with families. Key Responsibilities:
Operational Setup:
- Collaborate with franchise owners and corporate support to ensure all licensing and regulatory requirements are met.
- Assist in setting up the facility, including classroom layouts, supplies, and technology systems.
- Develop and implement center-specific policies and procedures in alignment with franchise standards.
Staffing & Team Building:
- Recruit, interview, hire, and onboard qualified teaching and support staff.
- Develop staffing schedules and ensure appropriate coverage for all age groups.
- Foster a positive workplace culture and support team development from day one.
- Oversee daily operations once the center is open, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and high-quality environment.
- Monitor compliance with licensing standards and company policies.
- Lead with integrity and passion, setting the tone for excellence in early childhood education.
- Conduct regular staff meetings, performance evaluations, and professional development sessions.
Marketing & Enrollment:
- Partner with franchise owners to market the center to local families to support visibility and long-term growth (e.g., host open houses, community events, social media promotion).
- Alongside the franchise owners, serve as point of contact for prospective and newly enrolled families.
- Manage inquiries, waitlists, and enrollment paperwork to meet enrollment targets prior to and after opening.
- Conduct engaging tours of the facility for prospective families, effectively communicating the Barrington’s values, curriculum, and unique offerings to encourage enrollment.
Curriculum and Program Development:
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum and educational programs in compliance with Barrington standards.
- Ensure activities meet the developmental needs of each child and align with the center's educational philosophy.
- Monitor and assess program effectiveness, making adjustments as needed.
Compliance and Safety:
- Ensure the center complies with all state and local licensing regulations and health and safety standards.
- Conduct regular safety drills and maintain accurate records of incidents and inspections.
- Implement and enforce policies and procedures to ensure the well-being of children and staff.
Family Engagement:
- Foster strong, positive relationships with families, addressing concerns and providing regular updates on their child’s progress.
- Organize family events, parent-teacher conferences, and educational workshops.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for parents and guardians.
Administrative Duties:
- Manage the center’s budget, including staffing, supplies, and facility maintenance.
- Maintain accurate records of enrollment, attendance, and staff schedules.
- Oversee marketing and enrollment efforts to maintain and grow the center’s population.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in an early childhood education center, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of state licensing requirements and early childhood education best practices.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Experience with hiring educational staff
- Demonstrated success in marketing or selling early childhood programs to prospective families
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).

Pay: Base salary of $60,000-$70,000 per year based on experience, with the potential to increase total compensation based on incentive opportunities.
