Little Voyageurs' Montessori School (LVMS) is seeking a full-time Children’s House Montessori Guide to start for the fall school year. LVMS is an environment that is respectful and joyful for children and adults, and we are seeking applicants who are dedicated to the development of young children.
Position Description and Responsibilities
Applicants should have a love for children, be creative, take initiative, have patience, and work well in a team that creates a unique Montessori environment and follows the Montessori theory.
Responsibilities include:
Planning and implementing Montessori activities in the areas of Practical Life, Sensorial, Mathematics, Language, Culture/Geography, Science, Music, and Art
Presenting developmentally-appropriate material/activities to individuals and groups of children
Creating and maintaining a safe, nurturing, self-directed environment for students
Designing creative and engaging activities to spark children’s individual interests
Facilitating a harmonious work environment with co-workers and children
Engaging in proactive communication with colleagues, parents, and Board Members
Writing and delivering conferences and information for parents
Displaying leadership, flexibility, and patience

For over 50 years, our non-profit, parent run school has provided a traditional yet affordable year-round Montessori School to children ages 33 months through kindergarten.
Experience working with young children.
Hold an AMI or AMS diploma/certificate or extensive knowledge and experience working in a Montessori /classroom (ages 3-6)
