The Electronic Warfare (EW) Technical Demonstrations Researcher position in the Test Engineering Division (TEN) performs research for rapid assessment of advanced sensors and Electronic Warfare (EW) technologies. Additionally, the EW Technical Demonstrations Researcher will conduct modeling, simulation, and demonstrations of systems at various Test Readiness Levels (TRL) in the Integrated Demonstrations and Applications Laboratory (IDAL) at Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio.
Build complex Radio Frequency (RF) scenarios based on EW demonstration plans under the guidance of senior researchers and engineer
Serve on the IDAL demo team to conduct EW demonstrations per plan
Utilize EW expertise to troubleshoot lab and system-under-test issues across specific system demonstrations
Analyze data based on EW demonstrations and scenario outputs and develop reports based on the data
Perform other duties as assigned
10% - 25% travel
Education & Length of Experience
Research Engineer/Scientist I
A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related degree field.
Required Minimum Qualifications
Experience with electronic systems
Candidates currently enrolled in an accredited Bachelor's degree with a graduation date of May 2021 and skills relevant to this position will be considered.
Experience with radar and EW systems testing, verification, and validation
Experience in the design and test of EW systems
Experience with RF simulation for receiver and jammer systems, including complex modeling and RF simulation of radar systems in lab environments
Experience capturing and evaluating waveforms in the frequency and time domains
Experience working with EW systems over multiple Test Readiness Levels (TRLs)
Experience working with intelligence data products
U.S. Citizenship Requirements
Due to our research contracts with the US federal government, candidates for this position are required to be US Citizens.
