Opportunity for a full-time, nine-month, non-tenure track faculty position in Early Childhood Education beginning August 2020. The successful candidate will serve as program coordinator for the early childhood education program (Bachelor's Degree), oversee placement for student teaching experiences, advise students, and teach undergraduate courses, with expertise in literacy. The typical teaching load is 4 courses per semester in addition to the program coordination. A Non-Tenure Track appointment carries the expectation of teaching excellence; professional development; and campus and community service are also valued. Non-Tenure Track positions are full-time renewable term appointments.
Qualifications: Candidate should have completed a Ph.D. by June 2020 or be ABD with a completion date of December 2020. Ph.D. studies should have an emphasis in early childhood education or a related field. Three years teaching experience at the elementary level (P-5) and K-12 Ohio Reading Endorsement (or its equivalent) are required. Candidate should demonstrate a commitment to teaching, scholarship, and service. Preferred qualifications include a background in special education, grant writing, distance learning, student success and retention of academically underprepared students, and have an interest/background in collaboration with 'rural' schools/area.
