Riverside Child Development and Learning Center currently has a Senior Childcare Manager oportunity available. This center is licensed by the State of Virginia and located in City Center/Oyster Point, just a few miles from Riverside Regional Medical Center. We bring security and peace of mind to the parents whose children we teach and care for on a daily basis. We provide safe, dependable, and loving care for the children or grandchildren of Riverside employees, physicians and their office staff, other staff at approved affiliates, students, and volunteers, in addition to community families.
This position is responsible for the oversight of all operations of the Child Development and Learning Center. Ensures compliance with Virginia State Licensing regulations and with Health Department and Fire Department regulations. Collaborates with the Assistant Manager to facilitate supervision of classroom activities. Responsible for staff and parent relations. Is responsible for customer accounts to include accounts receivable and payable, collections and other customer relation issues. Develops and implements goals, objectives and an annual budget for the center. Works within the Mission, Vision, Philosophy, Purpose and Goals of the Riverside Child Development & Learning Center and Riverside Regional Medical Center.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education (or related) is required. Must be at least 21 years of age.
Experience: Minimum of two years of programmatic experience, including one year in a staff supervisory capacity, in a Child Care setting working with Infants-Preschoolers required; three years programmatic, two years management preferred.
Licensure/Certification: At least 40 hours of training per year in Child Development issues. Must obtain certification in CPR, First Aid and receive Food Handlers Card (within 90 days of employment) and maintain current throughout employment. MAT and FSE certification required (within first year of employment) and maintained current throughout employment. Employees Age 21 and above may be required to drive the center van or other vehicle to transport children on field trips, etc. and if so, must provide a Valid driver's license. In addition, they must provide and maintain an excellent driving record.
