Child's Day is a diverse, independent child development center. We serve over 200 children from birth to Pre-K through a uniquely high-quality program.
We are searching for the right leader to continue a long tradition of supporting our diverse and outstanding community of early childhood educators and active families. Our faculty and our families come from around the world and many walks of life.
Our Director oversees a large team of 60 teachers and support staff.
The right candidate will have:
demonstrated leadership in a large, complex child development program
a degree in Early Childhood Education or related field
deep knowledge of developmentally appropriate practice
a firm commitment to supporting teachers every single day
love for children, play and humor
strong parent communication skills and ability to understand parent perspectives
Guided by the organization’s core principals, the Director is responsible for oversight and leadership of the child development center including:
program quality and reputation
faculty recruitment and support as a professional community
parent relations and communications
direction and supervision of support staff
compliance with all federal and state laws and school policies and procedures
relationships with the ECE community at large
