Temple Sinai is a Reform congregation that has been a part of the Miami-Dade County community for over 60 years. Our region is one of the most densely Jewish populations in the world, with Jews from America, Latin America, Israel, Russia, and France. Since 1973, our Early Childhood Education Center has provided a strong foundation for thousands of students. We are accredited by AISF (Association of Independent Schools of Florida).

About Our Facility
Temple Sinai and its ECEC are on a 14-acre campus with mature trees and plants, nature trail, large playground, sports field, and swimming pool. Our students are welcomed each day into large, modern, sunlight-filled classrooms, including a library, music room, and computer lab. Shabbat, holidays, and special events are enjoyed in our sanctuary and social hall building. The Michael-Ann Russell JCC is accessed by our Berlin Community Bridge that spans the Oleta River.
What are the highlights of the ECEC Director’s job responsibilities?
Our ideal candidate is accomplished in and will be responsible for the leadership, education, curriculum, community, supervision, communication, budget and development of our Early Childhood Education Center. We look to our new educator/leader to bring a passion and energy to our campus and grow our Early Childhood Education Center.
Compensation: Competitive compensation and benefits package
Position Available: January 1, 2019 or July 1, 2019
Bachelor’s Degree (preferably in Education), plus 5 years of related experience and/or training, and 5 years of management experience, or equivalent Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Education (preferred) or Elementary Education
FDCF Director Certification (required by licensing)
Knowledge and role modeling of Reform Jewish values and practices.
Excellent leadership, organizational skills, and the ability to inspire and motivate people.
Knowledge of early childhood education, including curriculum, child growth and development, instructional strategies, classroom management, learning assessment, best principles, and research related to learning of young children.
Telecommuting is allowed.
