UNOW Day Nursery, a campus affiliated child care center, serving currently 85 children, infants to 5 years, is relocating to a larger center built by Princeton University to open in September 2017.
We will open with an enrollment of 142 and increase to full capacity of 180 in 2018. UNOW believes that all aspects of a child's development - physical, social, emotional and cognitive-are equally important, and that all children possess the right to learn in their own way and at their own pace in the continual process of discovering the self, other human beings and the world. UNOW was established in 1970 with the aid of Princeton University and the Central New Jersey Chapter of the National Organization for Woman. (N.O.W.) While UNOW is no longer affiliated with N.O.W. however, we retain the acronym to acknowledge our commitment to an equal - opportunity environment for children, free of stereotypes and that promotes an anti-bias culture that embraces the uniqueness of each person.
