Seedlings Preschool of the Lafayette-Orinda Presbyterian Church is looking for several qualified candidates who have chosen early childhood as their career and want to work at our exemplary preschool located in the beautiful hills of Lafayette.
Our first position is a Pre-K Teacher who would work Monday/Wednesday/Friday, 8:45 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. beginning August 20th for the 2018-2019 school year.
Our second position is also a teaching position working Monday through Friday, 8:45 a.m. to 2:15 p.m. working with toddlers beginning August 20th for the 2018-2019 school year.
Lastly, we are looking for an assistant teacher to work in our toddler classroom, Monday through Friday, 8:45 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. beginning August 20th for the 2018-2019 school year.
For our teaching positions, you must have a minimum of 12 Early Childhood Education and experience in an early childhood setting. BA in related field is preferred. Our toddler teacher must have 3 ECE units specific to infants and toddlers. You must also have prior experience working in an early childhood setting.
Substitutes and assistant teachers require 3 units in Early Childhood education and some experience working with young children.
All positions require curriculum development and planning, interfacing with parents, working as a team with a co-teacher and good communication skills. Seedlings Preschool is a premier program located in the Northern California Bay Area. We are a nonprofit, state licensed learning center of the Lafayette-Orinda Presbyterian Church serving children age 6 months through 5 years old. Our hours of operation are 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Our Tree House program offers an optional extended hour until 3:15 p.m. for children two years and older, Monday through Thursday. Admission is not limited by reason of religious, racial or national background. Our center is set in the beautiful hills of Lamorinda and has been in operation since 1983.
